Speaking to The DQ Week, P Shanmugam, president, TITA, said, “This year, the response to the expo was beyond our expectation. There were 25,000 walk-ins across all the stalls, which is first-of-its-kind.” He also added that contrary to this year, the first day usually witnesses a lukewarm response. This year the responses have been overwhelming right from day one.
On the sale of machines, Shanmugam said, “Stalls have reported sales of 15-30 products.” He also added that Lenovo, HP, Dell, HCL, Epson and Numeric were the brands that saw major sales. The association has estimated a revenue of around Rs 1.25 crore from the exhibition. Lenovo was the key sponsor, while Intel and Dell were the co-sponsors of the event. Home segment made the maximum entries. The marketing activities were also done across all the media more than ten days before the event.
