Tirupur Information Technology Association was formed on 8th February 2008 in the meeting were 39 dealers are participated. The association is registered with Registrar of Tamil Nadu Societies. It is also affiliated to Confederation of IT Associations.
Objectives
Objectives are to :
- Attract IT majors to set shop in Tirupur.
- Attract high level IT professionals.
- Project local IT companies, their activities & achievements and increase business opportunities.
- Motivate non IT companies to diversify into IT.
- Create awareness on the use of IT as a tool for competitiveness and economic growth
- Create the right job opportunities for engineering and science graduates.
- To bring IT companies of Tirupur together on a common platform to exchange ideas, information, etc.
- To liaise with the Government agencies to develop IT and the city infrastructure and also plan for
growth of IT activity in Tirupur.
- And thus make Tirupur and the region, a hub of IT activity - yet another Silicon Valley of India.
